"The bravest are the tenderest.
The loving are the daring."

Solitude . . .

PictureEarly Morning Moon January 2022

“I live in that solitude which is painful in youth but delicious in the years of maturity.”     - Albert Einstein

I wake to the moon piercing through layers of clouds. I snuggle down deeper under the covers and look out over the city lights from the warmth of my bed.

The loveliness of quiet solitude fills my days since flying home from work mid January. Friendship and Grandma-Duty activities occasionally sweeten the silence with the beauty of my little community. And time is passing with a blissful slowness that lends to the feeling that flying back to work at the end of February is in the far off distance on the calendar.

Resting is not an easy state-of-being for me. By nature I am a go, go and getter done individual. If my body is not in motion, my mind is on and in gear creating and writing and goal setting. But, I am learning the value of simply embracing peaceful moments for these pockets of time rejuvenate and, truly, lend toward greater productivity in the end.

Last year was a blur of flights and training and work. This year, I’ve six months off intermittent with my work schedule. And I am excited at the possibilities that lie ahead for I am discovering that, “rest is not a luxury you earn when you are finished with creative work, It's a discipline you cultivate to make you more creative.”                                                                                                                         - John Spencer

                                  Welcome 2022 . . . life is good.

In a culture where people resist the idea of anyone speaking into their lives, I feel most fortunate I've people, who care enough for me, they risk speaking into mine. Their words provide a safeguard. And I love them for their commitment to my best. I also appreciate the words of wisdom of others who, though we've never met, share similar perspectives on life. I am drawn to their words as they encourage, inspire, empower. I hope you'll find their words provide you with the same.

Guffaw Thru Life

It's such fun jumping on beds . . . and couches too and eating pie from the center before serving it to others. I love laughing and I appreciate people who make me.

Life is amazing with its possibilities. And, I am blessed by the wonderful people in my life and the liberty I have to pursue what brings me joy. In spite of life's griefs, there is peace and joy and love enough to fill all the spaces.

                                                      Zephaniah 3:17
"The Lord your God is in your midst, a Warrior who gives victory; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will renew you in His love, He will exult over you with songs of deliverance."
