"The greatest wisdom is seeing through appearances." Buddha I was born a brunette. At the age of 28, silver strands began to weave in amid my dark locks. When I reached the age of 36, my daughter prompted me to consider a "blondes have more fun" hue and I've worn a golden shade for the last 20 years. This winter, however, I decided to returned to the dark chocolate tones of my youth. In reality, however, I'm at an 80% salt and pepper season of life.
As the quote above encourages, there is a wisdom in seeing past one's outer appearance and looking with deeper satisfaction on the inner character developed in one's own heart. Beauty redefines as the years advance and a comfort with one's self is what sustains when . . . the colors fade.

AuthorIn a culture where people resist the idea of anyone speaking into their lives, I feel most fortunate I've people, who care enough for me, they risk speaking into mine. Their words provide a safeguard. And I love them for their commitment to my best. I also appreciate the words of wisdom of others who, though we've never met, share similar perspectives on life. I am drawn to their words as they encourage, inspire, empower. I hope you'll find their words provide you with the same. Archives
